I designed this table over 30 years ago for my Dad. He was reading 3-4 books at the same time and he used an old folding TV tray in the living room. He would lean it back into his lap and put his book on it so he didn't have to hold it all evening.

The book constantly slipped off to one side or the other and sometimes slid all the way off onto the floor so one year my brother-in-law and I designed this table for his Christmas present.

It slides right under your chair and holds your book securely at most any angle.

Now it has many uses. It makes a excelent Lap Top table in the horizontal position and is great to eat from too.

It has 6 different positions so you can use it for almost anything.

These tables are made of oak reclaimed from an old bridge. Even the hinges on the front are hand made from the same wood.
