I'm from a little
town 20 miles west of Asheville, NC called Canton. It's a paper-town and my Dad worked there his entire career after WWII.
He could make anything and fix anything and he did. We had almost anything we needed at home but it's because we made
it ourselves. He taught me how to do lots of different things but the most important thing he taught me was that I
CAN.
I have
been doing things myself all my life and wouldn't have it any other way. I even built and maintain this website myself,
all the pictures too. Even though I don't know much about either one I CAN learn so I'll improve
as I go.
One thing that comes natural
is working with this wood. It's different than most woodworking. I try to maintain the natural appearance of things. All
my wood is either recovered from old barns or bridges and such or I have saved it from tree trimming or building site clearings.
I built a small solar powered kiln to dry my wood so I can use most anything I can save.

This is me at my first show. This is much harder than making my furniture.
I'll put more pictures of me at work on here soon. I'm a little
camera shy but my wife says I need to do it so as soon as she takes them I'll put them on the website.
